• Must be willing to make an affordable monthly payment.

• Must have a need for housing.

• Must be willing to partner with Florence Habitat for Humanity.

• Must have lived or worked in Florence for 1 year or more.

• Income requirements must be at or below 80% of the median income.

Florence, OR – Before you throw away that broken appliance or worn-out clothing, bring it to the Fix-It Booth at Florence Habitat for Humanity! Skilled volunteer repair experts will be on hand to help repair everyday household items—for free.

Visitors may also learn simple repair techniques they can use at home.

This free community service is made possible through a partnership with Waste Wise Lane County and Lane County, supporting efforts to reduce landfill waste while promoting sustainability and practical skills.

Whether it's a toaster that stopped working, a favorite jacket that needs mending, or a sewing machine that needs a little attention, the Fix-It Booth is here to help.

What: Collection of resellable household items and building materials diverted from landfill disposal

When: 4th Saturday of every month

Where: Florence County Transfer Station

2820 N Rhododendron Dr

Who: Florence Habitat for Humanity ReStore

How it Works:

• Reusable items donated to ReStore will support the Florence Habitat for Humanity mission to build homes, community and hope.

• Place items you believe to be reusable on top.

• Donors save landfill space and lower their dump fees

• Accepted items are donated to the Habitat ReStore.

• Tax receipts available upon request.

• Proceeds from resale support Florence Habitat mission

She is hosting a Paint & Sip Art Class where you will Create Your Own Whimsical House on canvas.

Join her for a joyful Toast to Creativity workshop where you’ll create a colorful, whimsical watercolor painting—all while supporting Florence’s Habitat for Humanity! Whether it’s your cozy cottage, your dream bungalow, we’ll help you turn it into a vibrant piece of art.

Materials, instruction, and refreshments are all included, so just bring your creativity and get ready to have fun.

Anna Moore, our very own local Mushroom Maven has kindly donated her time to Florence Habitat for Humanity to educate you on how to identify and get experience with mushrooms.

She encourages participants to bring in specimens (whole mushrooms in paper bag) that they want identified and get experience with field guides.

Local choice edible will be discussed and ways to prepare them.

All proceeds go to our local Florence Habitat for Humanity!

He is hosting a Essential Knife Skills & Chopping Techniques Class

Gain confidence and precision in the kitchen! Learn to:

• Identify different types of knives and their uses

• Understand knife parts and proper grip for control

• Practice safe handling, passing, and storage

• Sharpen and hone knives correctly

• Master essential cuts: julienne, brunoise, batonnet, dicing, chiffonade, and mincing

Sean Grundon, our Siuslaw School Archery & Middle School Math Teacher has thoughtfully donated his own time to Florence Habitat for Humanity, to offer Archery Classes to teach the fundamentals of safe and accurate shooting, including proper stance, grip, aiming, and release techniques. Participants practice with bows and arrows while learning range safety, equipment care, and basic scoring, building confidence and skill through guided instruction and hands-on practice.

All proceeds aim at our local Florence Habitat for Humanity, with a straight shot to making dreams come true!
