Volunteer Opportunities
Florence Habitat
welcomes volunteers to partner with us in building simple decent homes for
families
in need. Habitat has a wide variety of volunteer activity.
Working with our Building
Committee. Habitat volunteer building crews are in charge of all aspects of
home construction from the bare lot to completed structure and landscaping.
Volunteers experienced in all building trades are needed. Also needed are
non-skilled volunteers willing to help with the many other
tasks.

In addition there are other areas for volunteers with specific talent, or just plain willingness to spend a few hours for a worthy cause.
Working in our ReStore program: If you enjoy the outdoors, being with people and assisting them in making their purchases, volunteering with ReStore might be fun for you. Volunteer times would be Thursday, Friday or Saturday morning from 8:45 to about 1:15, once or twice a month. If ReStore intends to grow and be open more weekends, we need a volunteer who would be a co-manager and run ReStore on some weekends as well as assist in accepting, pricing and placing donations. To learn more about ReStore Volunteer opportunities, call Bob Hawkins at 997-9845. To learn more about ReStore, go to the ReStore page on this Florence Habitat Website.
Habitat Volunteers: Florence Habitat Volunteers are folks young and old, with all kinds of life experiences, working together to build simple, decent homes in partnership with families of modest income. To-date Florence Habitat has built 16 family homes in Florence. We are presently working on design and layout for construction of 10 more houses.
Individuals interested in volunteering or supporting Habitat can obtain information by calling Florence Habitat for Humanity office at 902-9227.
